To be brutally honest, I ONLY bought three pairs of these socks because I’m too tight to pay postage. So I got 3 pairs, as they were on sale, for the equivalent of postage.

What do you say about black socks?

To be fair these are better, so much better than I expected of black socks.

• Cycology’s embroidery is top notch - no surprise there.

• They stay up really well, but don’t leave a ring of death around your calves either.

• They didn’t shed bits of black fluff when wearing them. So no ‘break in period’ required. I wish I could say the same for my black towels still shedding fluff after a year!

• They do have one weird skill: they can turn themselves fully inside out in the wash 🤣 Quite some skill, given I deplore a balled up sock and fastidiously put my socks in the washer in pairs and the right way out - thanks to being traumatised by an obsessional mother. These socks may bring a frisson of excitement to your laundry day too.
